A full day with a local guide in Madagascar's capital: the Rova (Queen's Palace) on the highest hill, the old upper town of Andohalo, Lake Anosy and the busy streets and markets of Analakely. Ideal on your arrival or departure day. The Rova is closed on Tuesdays, so we plan this tour on another day.

Pick-up at your hotel. Morning at the Rova, the royal compound on the highest hill: the museum in Manjakamiadana palace, the wooden Besakana palace and the royal tombs, with wide views over the city and rice fields (allow about 2 hours). Walk down through the old Andohalo district. Lunch in town, then Lake Anosy and the lower town: Analakely market, Independence Avenue and the Soarano railway station. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

This tour lasts 1 Day. We can adapt the itinerary to a shorter or longer stay on request.

Send us your dates and number of travellers on WhatsApp (+261 33 664 07 77) or with the enquiry form on our contact page. We reply with an itinerary and a price, usually within a few hours during office hours. A 30% deposit confirms the booking.

Our tours are private: you travel with your own guide and vehicle, so the schedule adapts to you.

Our guides speak English, French and Malagasy.

The 30% deposit is non-refundable because vehicles, guides and hotels are booked for you as soon as you confirm. Further cancellation fees depend on how close to departure you cancel, and moving your trip to a new date may be possible. All details are on our booking conditions page.
