The most famous road in Madagascar is 20 minutes from our office in Morondava. We take you there at the best light — and show you the villages and beaches around it.
The price for 1 traveller is fixed. For a group, the price depends on the number of travellers and on what you need (meals, accommodation, excursions…), so ask us for an exact quote for your group.

A dirt road lined with giant Grandidier's baobabs, some of them several hundred years old, rising 25 to 30 metres above the rice fields. At sunset the trunks turn red and orange — it is one of the most photographed places in Madagascar.
The site is a protected natural monument. Local villages live around it, so visiting with a local guide also supports the community.
Close to the Avenue are the Baobab Amoureux (two baobabs twisted around each other) and other remarkable trees. From Morondava you can also cross by pirogue to Betania, a Vezo fishing village, and spend time on the beach at Kimony.
The Avenue can be visited almost all year. The dry season, from April to November, gives clear skies and easy roads. Come for sunset for the classic photo, or at sunrise for a quieter visit with fewer people.
About 20 km north of Morondava, roughly 30 to 45 minutes by car depending on the road.
Sunset gives the most dramatic colours. Sunrise is calmer, with soft light and very few visitors.
Yes. The Avenue is on the road to Kirindy Forest and Tsingy de Bemaraha, so it fits easily into a longer trip in the west.
