About this tour

Sainte-Marie at its best: a boat trip to watch humpback whales (mainly July to September, sometimes from late June), the car-free Île aux Nattes and the history of the island's pirates. Outside whale season, the boat day becomes snorkelling and beaches.

Domestic flight to Sainte-Marie, transfer to your hotel by the sea and free afternoon on the beach.

Boat trip in the channel to watch humpback whales in season (mainly July–September), with a local guide and following the island's whale-watching rules. Outside the season: snorkelling and beach stops.

Short pirogue crossing to Île aux Nattes, a small island without cars: walk through villages, beaches and lagoons.

Visit Ambodifotatra and the pirates' cemetery, then transfer to the airport for your flight back.

This tour lasts 4 Days. We can adapt the itinerary to a shorter or longer stay on request.

Send us your dates and number of travellers on WhatsApp (+261 33 664 07 77) or with the enquiry form on our contact page. We reply with an itinerary and a price, usually within a few hours during office hours. A 30% deposit confirms the booking.

Our tours are private: you travel with your own guide and vehicle, so the schedule adapts to you.

Our guides speak English, French and Malagasy.

The 30% deposit is non-refundable because vehicles, guides and hotels are booked for you as soon as you confirm. Further cancellation fees depend on how close to departure you cancel, and moving your trip to a new date may be possible. All details are on our booking conditions page.
